Blue Cay Estate Luxury Villas, Providenciales Development News

The Turks and Caicos’s newest residential yachting community – Blue Cay Estate – commemorated the opening of its navigable canal in December 2017. The luxury development, which is one of the first of its kind for Turks and Caicos, is located in the prestigious Leeward area of Providenciales.

The much anticipated occasion was heralded with a pre-Christmas celebration. The event was hosted by Windward Development Company in one of the completed canalfront luxury villas at Blue Cay. Members of the Providenciales real estate and business communities, as well as representatives of the Turks and Caicos Islands government and Blue Cay Estate home owners were among the attendees.

“We have been developing Blue Cay for the past 24 months and are very pleased with the progress to date. The opening of our canal, which forms the centerpiece of the yachting-focused gated community, is a momentous occasion for us as developers and our owners,” says Ivor Stanbrook, CEO of Windward Development.

As a part of the night’s celebration, an artist was commissioned by Windward Development to create a contemporary Blue Cay art collection to raise funds for the National Cancer Society of TCI. As a result, an impressive $10,000 was raised and generously donated to the charity.

Kyle Smith, director of Windward Development Company, said: “The National Cancer Society is very dear to our hearts, continuously doing much needed work in Turks and Caicos, helping families that are affected by the disease. It’s a very personal cause for us and we are very pleased to be able to donate this significant sum to a great cause raised at a joyful and positive celebration.”

When completed, the exclusive gated community conceived by the Windward Development Company, will consist of 16 home sites, four of which are located on a stretch of beach looking out onto the Leeward Channel. The other twelve are situated on the newly constructed canal that provides the community with easy access to the Leeward Channel.

Each home will have its own dedicated boat dock to provide residents with everything they need to enjoy the premier yachting grounds surrounding Providenciales. The canal will allow residents to readily explore the channel and nearby uninhabited cays by jet ski, kayak, paddle board, boat, or however they may choose. 

Blee Halligan Architects of London has given the homes at Blue Cay a contemporary design that takes full advantage of the indoor/outdoor Caribbean lifestyle, allowing residents to enjoy unobstructed views from every area of their homes.
